"From the unresolved battle of materials to successful exhibition architecture
The two architects Viola Stifter and Herwig Mayer have accomplished an amazing feat with the transformation of the exhibition space into an ‚abstract vineyard‘. The wonderful installation allows the space to retreat entirely into the background. The end walls of the hall are mirrored, while showcases between them stretch like vines in the shape of three endless reflected rows. Few materials have been used. Betonyp fibreboard panels are the soil from which the showcases of the same material emerge, showcases that so elegantly and easily soak up the images mounted on plastic sheeting while still providing display space for various additional exponents. The angled sections interrupting the ‚rows of vines‘ invite visitors to stroll up and down the space.
